The Master's Programme in Finance, Accounting, and Taxation will help you deepen your existing knowledge in finance, accounting, and taxation. During your studies, you will decide whether you wish to specialise in a particular field of activity and/or industry. Chief Financial Officer
As Chief Financial Officer (CFO) you are one of the members of the executive management of a company and are responsible for the entire finance department. Your duties include managing funds, signing checks, keeping the books, and planning the organisation’s finances and liquidity. You develop strategies to optimise processes in your department and ensure that the management always has an overview of the company’s financial situation.
Head of Accounting
As the head of an accounting department, together with your team you are responsible for ongoing bookkeeping and the timely preparation of financial reports for a company. You plan and monitor commercial processes, prepare financial data as well as reports and statistics, and use it to create key figure analyses for corporate management. You take on management tasks and act as contact point for banks, auditors, and tax advisers.
Head of Treasury
As Head of Treasury, together with your team you monitor the finances of your company. You make sure that there are always enough funds available to keep the organisation running. At the same time, as a treasurer, you are forward-looking and underpin the finances of your company with long-term financing strategies and future-oriented liquidity management. When companies grow and expand internationally, finances must grow with them.

Generally, a completed undergraduate degree with a subject-related focus in the respective IU Master's program is a requirement for admission. The first undergraduate degree must have been successfully completed at a state or state-recognized college/university and with a final grade of at least "satisfactory". If the first degree does not include a subject-related focus, admission to the program can also be granted if the student has completed a related professional activity.
For English language degree courses, a proof (TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo, Cambridge or equivalent proof, e.g. through the free IU English course.) of sufficient English language skills is required.

A completed undergraduate degree with a specific thematic focus in the selected master's degree program. Alternatively, also professional activities with corresponding backgrounds can be accredited in individual cases. A degree from a state or state-recognized college/university with a final grade of at least "Satisfactory". Accreditation of knowledge and skills acquired outside of the university sector is generally possible. University entrance qualification as a foreign student applicant.
