Dresden, 26 October 2021. Rotating bi-weelky, the students attend lectures on campus or online, and complete their practical units in local and regional companies.

With over 10,000 industry partners, IU has the largest network for dual study in Germany. In Dresden, the Staatliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Meissen has recently become one of the companies offering students a practical placement. Elisabeth Fischer, IU's location manager in Dresden, is proud: "To be able to welcome a regionally historic company with worldwide fame as an official practical partner is simply incredible. We are hugely looking forward to our continued cooperation!"

In addition to the place for a dual student from the Marketing Management department, the company will also offer a place for Tourism Management students in the future. Conny Abbé, Head of Marketing and Direct Sales at Staatliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Meissen, says: "We at Staatliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Meissen GmbH are also very pleased about the partnership with IU International University of Applied Sciences. For us, this is a great opportunity to provide extensive insights into our company, which is over 300 years old, and at the same time to make an important contribution as an employer in the region."

In addition to the Porzellan-Manufaktur Meissen, IU cooperates with over 100 other industry partners in Dresden and the surrounding area, such as the Saxon State Winery, better known as Schloss Wackerbarth, the Schlosshotel Pillnitz, the Trägerwerk Soziale Dienste in Sachsen, the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund, the Moritzburg Production School and the drefugio Kinder- und Jugendhilfe Dresden. In the coming year, ten new programmes will be added to the range of studies at the Dresden campus. These include, for example, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Real Estate Management, Childhood Education and Health Management. The dual study programme at IU lasts three and a half years and ends with a Bachelor's degree.
