TEACHING CHILDREN AT HOME: IUBH SUPPORTS PARENTS

CORONA, CHILDREN, CHAOS: IUBH OFFERS PARENTS SUPPORT IN LEARNING SUPPORT

Erfurt, 26 March 2020 – Schools are closed for weeks, playgrounds and sports clubs too, social contacts are to be avoided: Because of the coronavirus, children are suddenly stuck at home. And parents are faced with the daunting challenge of being their children's learning companions, while at the same time many have to do their own work from the home office. How do I organise my work and guide my children at the same time? How do we organise our day as a family? What opportunities does the new situation bring?

As Germany's largest private university for online studies with more than 30,000 students, IUBH International University of Applied Sciences takes its social responsibility seriously and supports families in this challenge with its expertise in online teaching: Starting on Friday, 27 March, it will offer all parents food for thought and tips on how to reconcile learning support and home office in live info sessions. The first date with Prof Dr Holger Sommerfeldt, academic director in the IUBH distance learning programme, starts at 2 pm, further dates will follow.
