THE IUBH BECOMES A FOUNDING MEMBER OF EMPLOYERS FOR EQUALITY

EFFECTIVELY ADVANCING GENDER EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY

Erfurt, 3 September 2020 - Employers for Equality is the new corporate programme for gender equality and diversity - and IUBH International University of Applied Sciences is a founding member of this initiative alongside companies such as Deloitte, Haufe and Payback. Employers for Equality continuously accompanies companies in their diversity work. Next week, the first workshops and networking offers will start, giving IUBH access to a practical offer.

"The combination of content, exchange of experiences and the integration into an ongoing programme convinced us. As an international university, we are already extremely diverse on the student side, so the support of Employers for Equality is so valuable for us to continue to drive the topic of diversity internally as well," explains Prof. Dr. Alexandra Wuttig, Equal Opportunities Officer, why IUBH got involved as one of ten founding partners.

Behind Employers for Equality is PANDA GmbH. PANDA is a social business that stands for the networking of women leaders with each other and with employers. For founder Isabelle Hoyer, the question of the actual effectiveness of her activities is the all-important one: "We want to make a tangible, countable and measurable contribution to more equality in the world of work," she says of the motivation behind the new initiative. "We won't achieve this through selective measures, but only with perseverance and a strategy geared towards sustainable change."

The content offerings of Employers for Equality will start at the beginning of September, initially mainly online. Together with the founding members and other partners, the programme will be permanently developed according to needs.
