Win-win for students and the real estate industry - skilled workers bring innovations to companies

RE/MAX Germany and IU International University of Applied Sciences train young professionals for the

Erfurt, 08 April 2021 - The real estate agent network RE/MAX Germany and IU International University of Applied Sciences are entering an educational cooperation to promote and ensure young professionals.

RE/MAX Germany is now part of the IU International University of Applied Sciences Industry Partner Network, which currently has over 6,000 members. This will further simplify the search for a suitable industry partner for students of the bachelor’s degree courses in Real Estate Management. RE/MAX brokerage offices, on the other hand, benefit from trained professionals and direct knowledge transfer from the university into professional practice.

This is already working out very well for Lara Langer, currently in her fourth semester of dual studies in real estate management at IU International University of Applied Sciences. The 20-year-old works as a management assistant at RE/MAX Real Estate Magdeburg during the practical stages of her studies. She maintains the social media channels and takes care of property-related tasks such as creating 3D floor plans, exposés or market value analyses as well as dealing with property enquiries and building applications.

Competent and professional practice partner

For students, she sees clear advantages in the cooperation with RE/MAX: "The search for a suitable practice company can be very stressful. RE/MAX qualifies itself through the competence and professionalism of its employees. The brand benefits from international presence and a huge network. In addition, every RE/MAX employee is specially prepared for customer contact. I have also received a training course, even though I am not currently marketing any properties. This distinguishes RE/MAX considerably from other brokerage companies."

Stefan Korn, Managing Director of RE/MAX Real Estate in Magdeburg, also sees many good reasons for the cooperation: "Lara always brings knowledge from her studies into her field of work. In regular practical projects, she analyses the company structures. This allows us to determine, for example, if the company has any deficits and, if so, what they are. Dual students are therefore a real enrichment for the company and contribute ideas and creativity in addition to their specialist knowledge."

Transparency, dialogue and professional training

What Stefan Korn particularly appreciates about the cooperation with IU is the direct dialogue with the student advisors: "I think it is very good that there is always a contact person at IU International University of Applied Sciences, because transparency in the form of open communication is very important. Furthermore, of course, ensuring professional training plays a big role."

Tuition fee discount

The cooperation of IU International University of Applied Sciences offers RE/MAX brokers the opportunity to tackle the shortage of skilled workers, to train according to the needs of the industry and to benefit from the transfer of knowledge. An additional advantage is that the tuition fees paid by the practice partners are reduced as part of the cooperation.
