Part-Time Studies in Dortmund

Part-time studies

Once the heart of the coal and steel industries, the service sector now accounts for the largest share of Dortmund's economic activity. It includes areas such as banking and insurance, IT services and trade. In addition, the city invests in the social structures of the Ruhr metropolis through numerous urban development, social policy, school and youth welfare programmes. The goals of these measures: to create a city based on solidarity, to strengthen social bonding, to promote integration and to provide diverse channels of access for work, education and professional qualifications. Therefore, there are many career entry and advancement opportunities for specialists and managers in the field of social work.
