Studying a Bachelor's degree in English in Germany enables you to pursue a variety of career paths. You can start your career abroad or in Germany with an international company. An English-language degree programme improves your language skills, but also your intercultural competencies and soft skills. And after you graduate, you will not only have more choice on the job market, as you will be eligible for more positions, your salary can also be higher.

DUAL DEGREE AT IU

It gets even better: You can also complete your studies in English at IU and obtain two degrees. With only one degree, without any further exams! Together with the LSBU, London South Bank University, IU offers a German and a British degree. All you have to do is select the Application for British Degree Certificate (LSBU) in the application administration of your myCampus profile in the first six months of your English studies and add the dual degree option for 750€. Your education process will remain the same as for all other students.  

After you have completed your studies in English, you will receive two degree certificates, the German certificate from IU International University of Applied Sciences and the British certificate from the London South Bank University. This will qualify you for many jobs around the world, because an internationally recognised British degree will significantly increase your job prospects. 

Important notice: 
You must apply for your dual degree before you have achieved 50% of the total ECTS (including recognised prior learning).

We are moving

From 01st March the virtual campus of the part-time studies programme is part of the IU distance learning programme and then takes place in this new environment. Nothing else will change for you: You will also benefit from interactive courses via video chat, smart online teaching and the exchange with lecturers and students.
