In the dual study program in e-commerce, you will learn how to ensure a smooth online shopping experience. This includes mastering the challenges in the field of e-commerce, understanding methods, tools and systems for designing successful web applications as well as skills for advising business partners and customers in online retail and taking on initial management tasks. You have the opportunity to take part in courses on campus or virtually via livestream. You can apply your acquired knowledge in projects and with your practice partner.

In our dual study program in e-commerce, you will immerse yourself in the various aspects of online retail, from products to technical framework conditions. While you acquire scientific principles and methodological knowledge in theory, you will apply what you have learned in practice and develop practical skills.
You will receive an introduction to the basics of e-commerce, digital business models and online marketing. Methodological skills are taught through the basics of web programming and agile project management. Special integration subjects deepen your knowledge in topics such as web stores and platforms, content management systems, web analytics and payment methods.
During 6 out of 7 semesters, you will complete a practical project in which you work on a problem from your practical company.
