Degree: B.A., 180 ECTS credits Study
Duration: 6 Semesters
Admission: A-levels (Technical Diploma), Subject-specific higher education entrance qualification or possible without A-levels. Please find further information under Admission.
Study Model & Examinations
Regular classes led by lecturers from the field at the location or virtual campus. In addition, digital self-study to prepare for face-to-face meetings. In addition, digital self-study to prepare for attendance phases. Exams can be taken at your location or flexibly online.
Courses
2-3 days per week in the attendance phase. Practical work with your fellow students under the guidance of experienced lecturers. Days and times vary depending on location/semester.

Accrediation
We expect approval from the Ministry no later than the start of the program. To date, all IU International University programs have been successfully accredited and approved on time.
Tuition Fees
399€ per month (plus 699€ graduation fee at the end of the program). All your learning and teaching material is already included in the fees.

Contents in myStudium Fitnessökonomie
The myStudium in Fitness Economics teaches you the scientific principles and specialist methodological knowledge of this booming industry. In addition to the basic knowledge of fitness management and the fitness markets, you will acquire in-depth knowledge in the areas of event management, training and nutrition and the health market. There is a particular focus on teaching management skills. During your studies, you will also have the opportunity to take exciting elective modules and even choose an internship, which will give you an insight into real working life in the fitness industry. As an alternative to the internship, you can take six particularly practical modules. This makes your degree particularly practical.
Our Bachelor's degree program has a modular structure, i.e. you study based on subject areas that are divided into modules. After successfully completing the modules, you will be credited with ECTS points (European Credit Transfer System), which document your achievements. These ECTS points are internationally comparable and of course recognized.
Compulsory elective modules: In compulsory elective areas A, B and C, you choose two compulsory elective modules each. Compulsory elective area D: Decide at the beginning between an internship at a company or modules from elective area D. You complete the internship with a practical reflection. If you opt for the modules from compulsory elective area D, all modules from this area must be completed. Mixed forms between internship and elective area D are not possible.
Career boost: your internship in myStudium (optional)
Do you want a flexible degree program with a strong practical focus? That's possible: with us, you have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge in an integrated internship in the field of activity of your degree program (30 ECTS credits). Alternatively, you can expand your expertise in six practice-oriented modules (30 ECTS credits). Simply decide in the first semester on the type of practical relevance that suits you and your goals. If you already have professional experience or have gained it during your studies, you can have it credited or recognized under certain conditions - saving you time and money.
