How do you combine form and content and how do you use current software tools correctly? Your dual study programme in media design teaches you everything about scientific and technical basics as well as creative presentation methods and techniques:
You will receive a sound education in all areas of media design: print, online, mobile media, photo, video, presentation and animation.
From the first semester onwards, you will implement design projects for your personal design portfolio.
Depending on the specialisation, you will become an expert in cross-media design or interaction design.
You will gain additional business knowledge that will help you in your professional life.

What your Mediendesign programme offers you
Whether print media, digital content or moving images - design, layout and conception are indispensable in all areas today. You will learn how to design messages for the important target groups in the dual study program Media Design:
You combine theory at IU with practice in a company or agency.
You'll learn important basics in the areas of typography and image and video editing, as well as marketing and business administration.
Starting in the 5th semester, you will specialize in one of four majors for your dream job.
After graduation, you will be able to design various forms of media.
At the end of your studies, you will have a state-recognized Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and 3.5 years of professional experience.

Please note that for our design degree programmes, in addition to your university entrance qualification, you must also prove your aptitude for design by taking a further examination (GEP/design aptitude test).
