Welcome to the Center for Radicalization Studies and Prevention (ZRP) at the IU – International University. 

As an interdisciplinary research center, we explore individual and structural causes of radicalization as well as societal responses within the field of prevention. Our research focuses on the manifestations and dynamics of radical ideologies, groups, and actors, as well as on the potentials of counseling and prevention work. 

The ZRP is committed to an extensive transfer of knowledge from science to practice and university teaching. Within the scope of our research projects, we develop methods and concepts for the prevention of radicalization tendencies in society – working together with practitioners to link fundamental with applied research.
