In the dual study programme at IU, the practical component is firmly integrated into your studies. This means that you do not work ‘on the side’, but that work is an integral part of your degree programme. It is important to us that you can optimally combine both sides - the theoretical courses at IU and the practical phases in the company.

Discover the study programme that matches your interests and skills in just a few minutes.
Unlike many other universities, we bring students and companies together - and with success: 2 out of 3 students are taken on by their practice partner after graduation.
Does studying privately sound expensive? At IU you pay €0 - because your practice partner pays your tuition fees.
Study, work and leisure - with us you can combine everything thanks to regular alternation between theory and practice. You always apply what you have learned directly in the practical phases - this makes it much quicker and easier for you to understand course content.

Depending on the combination of degree programme and study location, one of these two study models will be specified for you:
Dual study programme: courses two days a week on campus or virtually. Subsequent in-depth study with the help of learning materials.
Dual myStudium: Independent acquisition of theory on the myCampus learning platform with the help of innovative learning materials and learning AI, optional support sessions to consolidate what you have learnt virtually via livestream.
With us, you can start at over 25 study locations or from anywhere on the virtual campus. You will complete your practical training at a company in the region of your choice.

Exciting and future-oriented studies
The study programme is incredibly exciting and perfectly combines theory in your studies with practical experience in companies. The lecturers often come from the relevant specialist fields and share fantastic insights. Small groups in lectures create a great environment for exchanging ideas with each other.
