How do you bring form and content together? And how do you use current software tools properly? In the Media Design degree programme, you learn everything about scientific principles, subject matter and creative presentation methods and techniques: 
You will receive a solid education in all areas of media design: print, online, mobile media, photo and video as well as presentation. 
From the first semester onwards, you will implement design projects for your personal design portfolio, which you can later use to apply for a job. 
Depending on the specialisation, you will become an expert in digital media production, communication and public relations, user experience or online and social media brand management. 
You will gain additional business knowledge for starting your career. 

This is an exemplary curriculum. The order of the modules may vary depending on the start of the study.

Digital media production, communication and public relations, user experience or online and social media brand management: In the 5th semester, you choose two of four specialization options - and can thus prepare yourself even more specifically for your dream job.

In the application portal, you will go through all the other steps for your dual study programme, such as the IU counselling interview. Optionally, you can inform yourself at the IU information event about topics such as our university, study programmes, admission requirements, time models, financing options or the search for a practice partner.

We won't leave you alone in your search, but will support you in your application to a practice partner from our network or to the company of your choice. To do this, you will regularly exchange information with your student advisor.

We are moving

From 01st March the virtual campus of the part-time studies programme is part of the IU distance learning programme and then takes place in this new environment. Nothing else will change for you: You will also benefit from interactive courses via video chat, smart online teaching and the exchange with lecturers and students.
