Mainz has a history of over 2,000 years - correspondingly many historical buildings can be found here. First and foremost, the cathedral and the electoral palace. Another highlight is the famous "Meenzer Fassenacht" with its countless events and the big Rose Monday parade. But if you want to celebrate in the student city of Mainz, you can do so every day.
