There are two variants of completing the Master's programme in Human Resources Development at IU Univesity: 60 ECTS in 12 months or 120 ECTS in 24 months. The curriculum primarily covers topics related to the further development, recruitment and coaching of personnel and managerial staff as well as organisational development in the company as a whole. You can choose between different modules in the areas of Leadership, Change Management and Team Development. In addition, you can further specialise in the areas of New Work, Ethics and Values Management. This will furnish you with the specialist knowledge you need to take on leadership tasks in the fields of HR Management, Business Psychology, Pedagogy or Personnel Development in the future.

Personnel Development Manager
As a personnel developer, you analyse the individual development potential of employees, select training and further education programmes, conduct employee reviews, and organise workshops. Succession planning and development of youth programmes are also part of your work. You always have an eye on current trends and change processes in the corporate environment and act as a catalyst for innovative approaches in personnel development.
Consultant in Human Resources Development
As a personnel development consultant, you supervise and advise your customers on organisational studies, personnel requirements assessments, change processes, and job evaluations. You train executives in conversational skills, design support programmes and seminars for employees as well as internal personnel developers, trainers, consultants, and coaches. You also dedicate yourself to talent management.
Organisational Development Manager
As an organisational developer, you look at corporate structures, the people in the company, and their behaviour and attitudes. You always pursue a holistic and systemic approach. And you always consider changes in the overall organisation, team development and the potential of coaching, taking into account all relevant relationships and interactions. As an organisational developer, your work is quite varied and includes organisational studies, the determination of personnel requirements. and the implementation of trend forecasts and advice.

Generally, a completed undergraduate degree with a subject-related focus in the respective IU Master's program is a requirement for admission. The first undergraduate degree must have been successfully completed at a state or state-recognized college/university and with a final grade of at least "satisfactory". If the first degree does not include a subject-related focus, admission to the program can also be granted if the student has completed a related professional activity.
For English language degree courses, a proof (TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo, Cambridge or equivalent proof, e.g. through the free IU English course.) of sufficient English language skills is required.

Alternatively, also professional activities with corresponding backgrounds can be accredited in individual cases.
