The online study programme in Nursing is aimed at nursing staff who have completed their vocational training. With our programme, these candidates have the opportunity to complete further academic training with a Bachelor’s degree in just three semesters. Based on prior knowledge, 90 ECTS can thus already be recognised automatically, which reduces the standard period of study by half.
Why study for a Bachelor’s degree? The demands placed on the nursing profession are becoming increasingly complex – not least due to demographic shifts. The government has reacted to this challenging situation by bringing in the Nursing Professions Act (Pflegeberufegesetz) with the aim of achieving the partial academisation of this key sector. Nursing professionals can now be better prepared for the growing challenges that lie ahead – such as the rise in increasingly older, more multimorbid people, chronic and geronto-psychiatric illnesses, digitalisation and more individual lifestyles – through scientifically based training. Nursing at a higher education level will make a significant contribution to solving these challenges and it will afford nurses the opportunity to develop their knowledge, help people in a more targeted way and work more professionally.For a more enjoyable and humane future, experts with plenty of flair and the right expertise are needed to make a difference in the long term.

Studieren mit (Fach-)Abitur
Du kannst in unser Bachelorstudium einsteigen, wenn Du eine der folgenden Hochschulzugangsvoraussetzungen mitbringst:
Allgemeine oder fachgebundene Hochschulreife (Abitur)* + Ausbildung als Alten-, Kinder- oder Gesundheits- und Krankenpfleger:in, Pflegefachperson in Deutschland
Fachhochschulreife (Fachabitur: schulischer und praktischer Teil)* + Ausbildung als Alten-, Kinder- oder Gesundheits- und Krankenpfleger:in, Pflegefachperson in Deutschland
Absolvierende von Waldorfschulen und des Berufskollegs Baden-Württemberg müssen ihre Fachhochschulreife von der zuständigen Behörde bestätigen lassen, um in einem anderen Bundesland studieren zu können. Dies gilt auch, wenn Du in einem anderen Bundesland als Thüringen studieren möchtest. Hierfür können zusätzliche Leistungen erforderlich sein. Die beste Entscheidung
Flexibel studieren mit Kindern und Arbeit - das geht an der IU. So kann man das Studium bequem um das Leben planen. Und wenn etwas mit den kleinen Kindern dazwischen kommt, werden Pläne flexibel geändert. Man kann sich selbst die Zeit einteilen. Dozenten helfen zeitnah bei Fragen.

TOP! Super Organisation
Die Hochschule ist jederzeit für einen da. Sie helfen bei Problemen sofort ohne lange Wartezeit (selbst bei Emails). Die Studieninhalte sind interessant und gut zu lernen. Man wird zu jedem Modul individuell vorbereitet und steht trotz Fernstudium nie alleine da. Ich würde jederzeit wieder die IU wählen !
