In your advanced 60 ECTS Contract Law programme, you will acquire well-founded skills in the drafting and management of complex business contracts. You will also delve into the tax aspects of contract drafting. You will become an expert in the area of civil litigation and conflict resolution and you will combine IPR and international law. Your studies here are practically oriented, including cases from contract practice; for example, one of your seminars will deal with the legal framework for management decisions. You will also acquire expertise in the legal framework for companies in the digital transformation and research methodology. In the course of your studies, you will be able to choose between different specialisations: choose between antitrust law (including EU antitrust law), insolvency law, corporate stabilisation and restructuring or legal risk and contract management. No matter where you want to go: with your Master's degree in Contract Law, suitable jobs with legal relevance will be open to you in most companies. Because you will know how to draw up legally secure and individual business contracts.

Contract Manager (m/f/d)
Contracts are the basis of all business dealings and require expert supervision by someone professionally trained like you. As a contract manager, you will provide advice and support to all contracting parties, be familiar with contract databases and be actively involved in drafting contracts. You will also be responsible for monitoring compliance during the contract life cycle. And because no business can operate without the basis of an official contract, you will be able to choose the sector in which you can best use your skills.
Specialist in insurance companies (m/f/d)
Your expertise in contracts, clauses and legal frameworks will make you particularly interesting for companies in the insurance industry. With your extensive knowledge of contract law, you will be able to react appropriately and promptly to contractual issues and perhaps even secure decisive competitive advantages. As a specialist, you will not only be an expert in contract law matters, but you will also be active in training employees.
Employee (m/f/d) in the legal department
As an employee in the legal department for insurance and contract management, you will look carefully at the small print and help to draft legally secure formulations. When laws and current regulations change, you will check the impact on existing contracts and initiate appropriate measures.

Generally, a completed undergraduate degree with a subject-related focus in the respective IU Master's program is a requirement for admission. The first undergraduate degree must have been successfully completed at a state or state-recognized college/university and with a final grade of at least "satisfactory". If the first degree does not include a subject-related focus, admission to the program can also be granted if the student has completed a related professional activity.
For English language degree courses, a proof (TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo, Cambridge or equivalent proof, e.g. through the free IU English course.) of sufficient English language skills is required.

A completed undergraduate degree with a specific thematic focus in the selected master's degree program. Alternatively, also professional activities with corresponding backgrounds can be accredited in individual cases. A degree from a state or state-recognized college/university with a final grade of at least "Satisfactory". Accreditation of knowledge and skills acquired outside of the university sector is generally possible. University entrance qualification as a foreign student applicant.
