YOUR OPPORTUNITY. YOUR CAREER. YOUR MASTER'S STUDIES IN SOCIAL WORK.
Intercultural societies and socio-demographic developments are constantly presenting hospitals, child and youth welfare institutions and social services with new challenges. In order to better understand individual contexts and manage processes in a targeted way, you need scientific methods as well as business and economic know-how – i.e. important specialist knowledge you gain with the IU Master’s programme in Social Work. After graduation, you will be able to plan, manage and carry out social affairs projects in a wide variety of areas. You will also meet the requirements for subsequently pursuing a doctoral degree or postgraduate training as a child and adolescent psychotherapist.
The IU Univesity Master’s degree programme in Social Work deepens your specialist knowledge and expands your existing know-how with scientific-analytical, intercultural and project-oriented skills. This enables you to better evaluate social structures and processes and, on this basis, develop practical methods for your work in social affairs. Depending on the specialisation you choose, you can later work in the areas of early childhood education and upbringing, clinical social work and health promotion, or community orientation and networking.
Information on accreditation and state approval can be found on the sub-page of the degree program.
