The most important questions about studying New Work
For your New Work studies at IU, the numerus clausus (NC) from the Abitur or Fachabitur is irrelevant. You can be admitted directly to our distance learning programme. Your strengths will also be the focus of your individual counselling interview with your study advisor.
You can currently complete your Bachelor’s degree in New Work at the Virtual Campus. This means that you can study anywhere in Germany.
Yes, this is also possible at IU. In addition to the entrance qualification in the form of an Abitur or Fachabitur, interested students without an Abitur also have the opportunity to enter our Bachelor's programme. You can study New Work without an Abitur if you have completed an advanced training programme, have a master craftsman's certificate or have at least two years of vocational training and at least three years of professional experience.
The New Work Bachelor’s programme lasts for 36, 48 or 72 months, depending on which time model you choose. If you need more time and semesters for your studies, this is absolutely no problem.
