Our bachelor's degree programme in E-Commerce provides you with the ability to optimally understand and analyse the data and data structures underlying online commerce and to convert them into efficient processes. In addition to a comprehensive basic knowledge of business administration, this also includes the specialist know-how in the most sought-after professional fields within digital sales. This way, you can qualify specifically in the areas of Retail Management, Online Marketing or Data Science & Analysis. The most important questions about studying E-Commerce
A numerus clausus (NC) is not an issue at the IU, we allow studying without NC. We prefer to look together with you at where your strengths and talents lie, so that you can really study exactly what adds value to you and your environment. Accordingly, there is no NC with us. If you meet all the other requirements (see table and further FAQs), nothing can prevent you from making a successful start for your future.
You can study E-Commerce at the following locations: Fulda, Saarbrücken, Schwerin, Trier. Furthermore, you can study at the Virtual Campus, which makes it possible to study anywhere in Germany and in a completely flexible way.
Yes, we also make that possible at the IU. In addition to the entrance qualification in form of an Abitur or Fachabitur, prospective students without an Abitur also have the opportunity to enter our bachelor’s programme. You can study E-Commerce without an Abitur if you are a state-certified technician/business economist, have a master craftsman's certificate or have at least two years of vocational training and at least three years of professional experience.
The Bachelor takes 36, 48 or 72 months, depending on the time model you choose. If you need more time and semesters for your studies, this is also absolutely no problem.
The E-commerce degree programme is an education that focuses on digital commerce. It combines the disciplines of Mathematics and Business Administration with Online Marketing and Computer Science. The content of the degree programme deals with the various aspects of online commerce, products and the technical framework. This involves acquiring scientific basics and methodological knowledge in theory so that the knowledge gained can be used optimally in practice. E-commerce combines business and analytical thinking, creativity and communication skills.
