Why you should study Health Education

Your IU Studies in Health Education

The most important questions about studying Health Education
As a university, IU deliberately does not have an NC. Here you simply study what you feel most like and what ideally suits your talents. Regardless of your grade point average. Studying without an NC is a matter of course for us, so that you will always get the place you want.
You can currently complete your Bachelor's degree in Health Education at the Virtual Campus, this means that you can study anywhere in Germany.
The Bachelor's degree programme in Health Education is aimed exclusively at people who have already completed training in the health sector. In addition to the entrance qualification in the form of an Abitur or Fachabitur, interested persons without an Abitur also have the opportunity to enter our Bachelor's programme. You can study Health Education without an Abitur if you have completed a qualified vocational training in the field of health care and have at least three years of professional experience. The following completed vocational training in the field of health care applies for admission:
- Occupational therapist
- Speech therapist
- Medical-Technical Assistant
- Emergency Paramedic
The Health Education Bachelor’s programme lasts for 36, 48 or 72 months, depending on which time model you choose. If you need more time and semesters for your studies, this is absolutely no problem.
If you want to study Health Education, you can educate people about health promotion and prevention and develop individual health concepts in your future. Your work will take place in institutions such as hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, health insurance companies, kindergartens, schools, fitness and wellness facilities or even in hotels or clubs. Your work as a health educator consists of advising, informing, training, coaching and accompanying your clients in Health Education and disease prevention. As a constantly growing sector, you can count on good career prospects in the health sector.
