You won’t need to go through any demanding selection procedures or have waiting semesters credited—none of our study programmes require an NC. You can study for your Bachelor’s degree in Product Design completely independently and with 100% flexibility. Thanks to the virtual learning format with interactive online courses, you can complete your IU degree entirely independent of time and location.
Yes, this is also possible at IU. In addition to the entrance qualification in the form of an Abitur or Fachabitur, interested students without an Abitur have the opportunity to enter our Bachelor's programme. You can study Product Design without an Abitur if you have completed an advanced training course, have a master craftsman's certificate or have at least two years of vocational training and at least three years of subsequent work experience.
The Product Design Bachelor's programme lasts for 36, 48 or 72 months, depending on which time model you choose. If you need more time and semesters for your studies, this is absolutely no problem.
You can study Design at IU with or without an Abitur. The main personal requirements are creativity and a certain artistic aptitude with which you can express your ideas.
