In your Master of Science in Computer Science, you will be taught both a scientific and a practically oriented foundation in the field of computer science in the various modules. Depending on the programme, you will focus on the application of computer science in other disciplines in the advanced training programme (60 ECTS) or on the development of software and the management of teams in the consecutive programme (120 ECTS). The former is aimed at prospective students from other disciplines who have already gained professional experience in the field of computer science.
As a student, you will be challenged to deal with ethical and social issues against the backdrop of the application of computer science in society, and your digital skills will also be sharpened during your training.

Generally, a completed undergraduate degree with a subject-related focus in the respective IU Master's program is a requirement for admission. The first undergraduate degree must have been successfully completed at a state or state-recognized college/university and with a final grade of at least "satisfactory". If the first degree does not include a subject-related focus, admission to the program can also be granted if the student has completed a related professional activity.
For English language degree courses, a proof (TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo, Cambridge or equivalent proof, e.g. through the free IU English course.) of sufficient English language skills is required.

A completed undergraduate degree with a specific thematic focus in the selected master's degree program. Alternatively, also professional activities with corresponding backgrounds can be accredited in individual cases. A degree from a state or state-recognized college/university with a final grade of at least "Satisfactory". Accreditation of knowledge and skills acquired outside of the university sector is generally possible. University entrance qualification as a foreign student applicant.
