As a Robotics Developer, you have knowledge of mechanics and kinematics and are trained in the development and application of mobile robots. One of your core competences is the realisation of projects with modern robotics platforms. Your tasks will include the design and development of robotic systems, the implementation of algorithms for motion control, the integration of sensors and actuators in embedded systems and the realisation of projects for human-robot interaction.
As an AI-supported XR specialist, you have experience in the use of XR technologies, knowledge of motion capturing and user experience design and the ability to integrate AI solutions into XR projects. You will develop applications that utilise artificial intelligence to improve user experiences in augmented, mixed and virtual reality. You will also carry out user experience projects and their optimisation.
As an AI ethics consultant, you are very familiar with the ethical and social aspects of AI. Your particular skill lies in responsible decision-making in technical and organisational contexts. You advise on the ethical design and implementation of AI systems, analyse ethical and legal issues related to AI and IT and are responsible for the development and implementation of workshops on intercultural and ethical decision-making.

Good news: IU deliberately does not have a numerus clausus (NC). You won’t have to go through a strenuous selection process or have waiting semesters credited to you, because none of our degree programmes have an NC. We prefer to talk to you personally and find out together where your talents and strengths lie and, above all, what goals you want to pursue with your studies.
You can currently complete your Bachelor's degree in Applied Artificial Intelligenc at the Virtual Campus. This means that you can study anywhere in Germany.
Yes, this is possible at IU. In addition to the entrance qualification in the form of an Abitur or Fachabitur, interested students without an Abitur also have the opportunity to enter our Bachelor's programme. You can study Applied Artificial Intelligence without an Abitur or a high school diploma if you have a master craftsman's certificate, have completed a further education course (such as an IHK Fachwirt) or have at least two years of vocational training and at least three years of subsequent work experience.
The Bachelor of Applied Artificial Intelligence has a duration of 36, 48 or 72 months, depending on which time model you choose. If you need more time and more semesters for your studies, it will not be a problem.
