Invitation to the sustainability workshop of the IU Research Center for Sustainable Media & Marketing (RCSMM) as part of Hamburg Sustainability Week on July 1, 2026
Invitation to the sustainability workshop of the IU Research Center for Sustainable Media & Marketing as part of Hamburg Sustainability Week on July 1, 2026.
Hamburg, 17 June 2026. According to the World Economic Forum's Global Risks Report 2026, disinformation and societal polarisation are among the greatest global risks – both of which are largely disseminated through the media. How can we achieve a responsible approach to media that simultaneously strengthens trust, diversity, and Hamburg's position as a media hub?
This question will be addressed for the first time in a sustainability workshop on the topic of media and communication as part of Hamburg Sustainability Week. We cordially invite you to attend or to drop by for interviews and recordings.
Together with representatives from business, media and science, the participants will develop an initial Sustainable Media Development Goals Map – a practical orientation framework that helps media users, politics and business to better understand the opportunities and risks of media consumption and to derive more responsible decisions as well as innovative offering formats.
We offer the following for your reporting:
- Sound bites and interview opportunities with the speakers
