IU presents solutions for skills shortages and structural change
On June 19, IU will present solutions to the shortage of skilled workers and structural change at its Dresden campus.
Dresden, 16 June, 2025. Companies in Saxony are facing major challenges: a shortage of skilled workers, digitalisation, structural change, economic uncertainty, and scarce financial resources – especially in the social economy. On Thursday, 19 June, 2025, IU International University of Applied Sciences will present how dual study programmes can close crucial gaps at its Dresden campus. From 1 to 7 pm, companies will receive valuable input in diverse panel discussions and expert presentations. They will learn about successful practical examples and have the opportunity to engage with faculty, students, and other companies.
Dual-study students bring theoretical input and innovative ideas directly into the company and actively shape everyday working life and its transformation. The event illustrates the potential of dual study programmes for the regional economy.
Prospective students are also invited to attend. They will gain insights into the dual study programmes offered at locations in Saxony, receive tips for the application process, and have the opportunity to connect with potential employers.
