Erfurt, Germany, 31 March 2023. IU International University of Applied Sciences (IU), Germany’s largest higher education institution, is the only German institution to be included in the QS Online MBA Rankings: Europe 2023. The internationally renowned ranking assesses online MBA programmes across four general areas: faculty and teaching, class profile, class experience and employer reputation. In this ranking, IU performed particularly well in both class experience and class profile, receiving top scores in the respective categories. IU is the first and so far, only German university of applied sciences to be ranked by QS Institute, which is known for its worldwide university rankings. The ranking confirms IU's consistent focus on digital and flexible study that adapts to students' needs.
Technology and innovation lead to a flexible and top-rated class experience
Tied for third in Europe in the category “class experience”, IU’s flexible online approach and use of technology and innovation in the classroom proves to be a winning formula for a top-rated MBA programme.
“Placing in the internationally renowned QS Rankings is a significant achievement, confirming our footing as a market leader in digital education and makes our online MBA programme more internationally competitive,” says Prof. Dr. Florian Hummel, Vice-Rector International, IU International University of Applied Sciences. “Our flexible online approach is what makes our study programmes so appealing to students. Regardless of where one lives or how much time one has, our students have the option to study at their own pace which is particularly appealing to those juggling work, family and other commitments.”
A diverse education that reflects a global world
As our world becomes more global, students are also seeking to have this reflected in both their education and work experience. Ranking fifth in the category “class profile” confirms IU’s diverse learning environment. By providing a diverse learning experience, IU students receive exposure to other cultures and mindsets preparing them with the valuable knowledge and tools they will need to succeed in a diverse workforce.
Employability is the endgame
In the category, “employability”, IU tied for 23rd in Europe. With employability being the goal in getting an MBA, IU’s online MBA programme proves to be a great option for students looking to get ahead in their career.
