The creative preparation and transmission of information has always been the core task of any media designer; to do this successfully in the digital world requires many new skills. Web design, cross-media strategies, video editing and app development take their place on an equal footing with the “classical” – but no less important – knowledge of typography and design, printing technologies and communication theory. Theorie-Praxis-Transfer im Fernstudium Mediendesign
Während Deines Fernstudiums wird jederzeit sichergestellt, dass Du einen effektiven Theorie-Praxis-Mix erhältst, damit Du Dein Wissen im Alltag direkt erproben und anwenden kannst. Deshalb erhältst Du im Fernstudium Mediendesign acht Portfolio-Kurse, die Deine praktischen Fähigkeiten weiter ausbauen und verfeinern. Darunter sind Kurse im Bereich Print- und Layoutsysteme oder Bild- und Videobearbeitung und Portfolio-Projekte im Grafikdesign, Webdesign, Design audio-visueller Medien und mobiles Design. In einem Portfolio-Kurs kannst Du den Designprozess praxisnah erleben und detailliert nachvollziehen, da das Portfolio-Projekt ein auf die Fernlehre abgestimmtes Format ist – ohne Präsenz.
In den Portfolio-Kursen durchläufst Du ein gestalterisches Projekt analog zum iterativen Designprozess – vom Briefing über die Konzeption und Ideen-Entwicklung bis hin zur Erstellung von Scribbles, digitalen Entwürfen und der Abgabe des fertigen Endproduktes. In dieser Phase kannst Du Dein theoretisch erworbenes Wissen direkt anwenden. Ziel der Portfolio-Kurse ist es, neue Gestaltungskompetenzen zu entwickeln und die unterschiedlichen Phasen des iterativen Designprozesses kennenzulernen und zu reflektieren. Zudem kann aufgrund vorgegebener Deadlines die Arbeitspraxis perfekt simuliert und erlebbar gemacht werden, u.a. auch unter der Verwendung der Adobe Creative Cloud.
