BWL – Spezialisierung Steuerberatung (B.A.)*

You do not need any previous knowledge for the specialization in Steuerberatung. You will learn the basics of business administration and economics during the first two semesters of your undergraduate studies. However, it is of course an advantage if you have already had some contact with these subjects and if you enjoy business administration. Of course, it is always helpful if you make your interest in this specialization clear to the student advisory service.

Calculators and special software support you in your tasks as a tax consultant. Nevertheless, you should be able to handle numbers and calculations well for your studies and career. After all, a good basic understanding of mathematics is indispensable for recognizing and correcting calculation errors.

In the dual study program, you combine theory at IU with practice in a company. This means that your practical partner will be guided by the training guidelines for the trade management specialization of the dual study program in business administration. Each semester is listed there with the corresponding modules. In this way, you can optimally apply your professional knowledge in your daily work and learn the interrelationships more quickly.

With BWL - Steuerberatung you qualify for all activities that require a profound understanding of financial and tax-related contexts. At the same time, the advancing digitalization is leading to a radical change. In the future, your consulting skills will play an even greater role, for example, when companies involve you in large projects and business decisions at an early stage.

In addition to working as a tax consultant, for which you must take and pass the tax consulting exam, you can also work as an accountant after completing your dual study program in business administration - tax consulting or take your auditor's exam and then work as an auditor.

You can study business administration completely online on the virtual campus. You learn the theory independently of location by participating in live events via video conferencing. In contrast, you complete your practical training with a local partner in the region of your choice.

Durch das neue Studium Generale im Wahlpflichtbereich C hast du eine freie Auswahl aus allen Fernstudium-Modulen. Diese absolvierst Du komplett im Fernstudium. Dadurch hast Du eine höhere Flexibilität bei der Wahl Deiner Praxis- und Theorietage. Durch die freie Gestaltung des letzten Semesters kannst Du Dich weiter spezialisieren und so für bessere Übernahmechancen sorgen. Außerdem erhöhen sich Deine ECTS-Punkte von 180 auf 210, was die Wahl eines anschließenden Masterstudiengangs vereinfacht.
