Your course overview in distance learning programme Digital Business
Become an expert in the digital economy: with the distance learning programme Digital Business, you receive a comprehensive education in both business administration and technological fundamentals. You delve into current digitalisation trends and explore digital business models. For your future work in digital companies, you will also study topics such as “Wirtschaftsinformatik,” “Ethische Aspekte von KI,” “Bilanzierung,” or “New Work.” Additionally, you can expand your knowledge through elective modules in fields like marketing, analytics, new technologies, project management, application development and digital business, or management in digital business.
Our bachelor's programme is modular, meaning you study based on subjects divided into modules. Upon completing a module successfully, you earn ECTS points (European Credit Transfer System), which document your achievements. These ECTS points are internationally comparable and, of course, recognised.
Elective modules: in elective areas A, B, and C, you select two modules each. elective area D: at the beginning of your studies, choose between completing an internship with a company or taking modules from elective area D. The internship concludes with a practical reflection. If you opt for the modules in elective area D, all modules in this area must be completed. A mix of an internship and elective area D is not possible.

Want a flexible degree with practical relevance? No problem: with us, you have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge with an integrated internship relevant to your degree programme (30 ECTS points). Alternatively, you can enhance your expertise through practical modules (30 ECTS points). Decide during your first semester which type of practical approach suits you and your goals best. If you already have work experience or gain some during your studies, you may be able to have this recognised under certain conditions – saving you both time and money.
