The Business Administration – Retail Management degree has two goals: To provide you with a solid business foundation and to give you in-depth knowledge in retail management. Therefore, you will study subjects such as business administration and economics, as well as accounting, controlling, taxation and market research. You will carry out several practical projects and delve into the basics and specific issues of retail management. As part of your specialisation, you will also deal with international trade, corporate and tax law and customer relationship management.

With your Business Administration – Retail Management studies, you can expect versatile career prospects in business, both online and offline, and in a wide variety of industries. As a store manager, for example, you’ll be able to take on responsibility and ensure the success of your shop and your employees. Yes, this is possible at IU. With an alternative university entrance qualification, prospective students without an Abitur also have the chance to enter our Bachelor’s programme. If you have completed an advanced training programme, have a master craftsman’s certificate or at least two years of vocational training and at least three years of professional experience, you can study Business Administration – Retail Management without an Abitur.
