Prof. Dr. Visieu Lac

Visieu Lac has been a Professor of Quantitative Methods and Finance at the IU International University Bad Honnef Campus since September 2011. His main areas of expertise are financial modelling, machine learning and predictive analytics.

Prior to joining IU, Visieu Lac was a consultant for major financial institutions in Europe, North America and Australasia. He specialized in developing machine learning models for managing market risk, credit risk and economic capital.

Visieu Lac holds a PhD in Theoretical Nuclear Physics from the University of Melbourne, Australia. He also holds a Master in Applied Finance and Investments as well as a Master of Arts in Design for Interactive Media. He was a Research Fellow at the University of Sussex (UK).

Visieu Lac was a recipient of the Australian Postgraduate Research Award Scholarship. He won the Special Award for Innovation from France Telecom, and GOLD at the international 79th Art Directors Club Annual Awards for one of his collaboration projects.
