Dr. Neil Arvin Bretaña is a Professor of Data Management at IU. He is an award-winning innovator with over a decade of experience on work in the field of health-related data across 4 countries. He has authored over 25 scientific publications and presented at over 15 international conferences. Aside from his academic expertise, he has significant data science and business consulting experience from private companies and Forbes 500 organisations. He has co-founded 2 health start-ups and actively contributes as a non-executive board member for non-for-profit organisations in the public health space.

Dr. Bretaña holds a PhD in Applied Computer Science from UNSW Sydney, a masters degree in bioinformatics from Yuan Ze University, and a post-graduate certificate in Biomedical Design and Innovation from Copenhagen University.
