Depending on which time model you choose, a bachelor’s programme usually runs for 36, 48 or 72 months and a master’s programme for 24, 36 or 48 months. If you need more time, that isn’t a problem either.

Our online study programmes make use of the latest tools to let you study at your pace, whenever and wherever you want. This guarantees maximum flexibility in combination with individual support.

In our programmes, you can choose between full-time or part-time plans and online or offline exams. We don’t have fixed dates for terms, so you can start whenever you want.

You decide where you want to take your exams. We offer you two options:

• Online exam

  You can sit your exam online. The IU is the first university of applied sciences to offer online exams for its online study programmes. You can sit your exam in the comfort of your own home – 365 days a year, 7 days a week, at any hour of the day.

• Offline exam

  Each month, we offer you a range of exam dates at our examination centres in Germany, Austria or Switzerland.

You have a range of options to reduce the financial load of an online study programme. You might be eligible for state funding, or you can claim tax advantages or take out a study loan. In some cases, the tuition fees for a online study programme at IU International University of Applied Sciences are tax-deductible. You can get back up to 42% of your tuition fees! The final amount depends on your individual situation. Under certain conditions, you can reduce your income tax by declaring the tuition fees for your first or second degree and other costs resulting from your studies (i.e. travel expenses, learning materials etc.).
