Good managers are becoming increasingly valuable. Economic and social circumstances are becoming ever more complex. This calls for organisational talents that create optimal conditions for excellence and lead their teams to success. After graduating, you can work as…

As an operations manager, you plan and control various processes. You optimise business procedures and make sure they are contributing to your success, always keeping an eye on your defined goals. Which goals these are is also largely dependent on the industry you work in. Whether it’s social, cultural or public institutions, mid-size companies or start-ups – operations managers are always involved in value generation.
As international growth manager, you identify opportunities for growth on each individual company level. You have profound knowledge of the market and know precisely where to unlock potential on a political, economic and technological level. If you decide to go into consulting, you will be the contact person for customers who are looking to do something big. Alternatively, you can work directly in a company as an advisor to management level.
For internationally operating companies, there’s no one-size-fits-all solution. Different cultures call for customised approaches. As an intercultural manager, it is your job to make sure that corporate communication, representation and action does not miss its target. To this end, you are involved in many areas of business, including marketing, HR and product development.
Depending on your personal or professional situation, full-time study is not always easy to manage. That is why we have also developed part-time programmes for all our degrees, which offer flexible and longer study periods. This way, you can study alongside your job or during your time off, whether at home or abroad. The content of the different models is identical. Depending on the study model, we will adjust your tuition fees accordingly. With the part-time variants, your weekly study workload is reduced.
Can't finish your degree in the allotted time? No problem! We will develop the right study model for everyone. If you realise that you need more time, you can easily switch to another study model with three months’ notice before the end of the month. These are our different study models:

We make it possible: At IU International University of Applied Sciences you can start your desired study programme - without NC, state-recognised, with or without a general A-level!
With vocational or high school diploma With a general university entrance qualification (high school diploma) or an entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences (vocational diploma: academic and practical part), you can enter our Bachelor's study programme* directly.
Graduates from Waldorf schools and vocational colleges in Baden-Württemberg must have their entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences confirmed by the relevant authority in order to be able to study in another federal state. This also applies if you want to study in a federal state other than Thuringia. Additional achievements may be required. Our student advisory team will answer any questions about this.
* For applicants with international school diplomas (e.g. IB-Diploma) or degrees earned abroad, the institution conducts an equivalence test (according to Anabin).
You can also study at IU International University of Applied Sciences (IU) without a high school diploma. To do so, you simply need:
A master craftsman's certificate or
Advanced professional training (e.g. as an IHK business administrator) or

*If you have completed your vocational training and professional experience within Europe, but outside of Germany, the university will carry out an equivalency assessment. EU qualifications can be accepted as equivalent if your vocational qualification is comparable to a German vocational qualification at level DQR 4.
Depending on your personal circumstances, you might be required to provide proof of your English language proficiency. Your skills would need to match the B2 level of the Common European Framework (CEF). We accept the following English language skills certificates*:
