Questions about certificates, course bookings, or changing degree programme? The Student Office at IU International University (IU) is here to assist you quickly and easily.
The Student Office is one of the cornerstones of IU. This is where you will find the people who may very well be your most important contacts for questions regarding your studies and all aspects of student life. They can help you, for example, with questions related to these topics:
Certificates
Student ID cards
Changing degree programmes or study models
Cancellations/withdrawals
Questions about course enrolments
Questions about myCampus
We answer questions from many students every day—perhaps we’ve already answered yours? To check, feel free to take a look at our FAQ section first. If you can’t find the answer to your question there, you are welcome to contact us directly!
Log in to myCampus and register for the module under “Manage Studies” > “Course Booking". Don’t worry: you can cancel your registration at this stage if you change your mind.
Then select “Start Course.” The booking is binding from this point onwards.
Is the course not appearing on your dashboard automatically? Simply refresh your course list or log out and log back in.
Make sure that you are not only registered for the course but that you have also started it. If the course still does not appear, refresh the course list or log out and log back in. If that does not help, simply contact the Student Office and have the following information ready:
Course name
Date of course booking
Our courses are regularly updated for you. New editions are typically marked with suffixes such as “-01” or “-02” at the end of the name. Always choose the current course when booking to start directly with the latest version.
Please wait for the results of the recognition assessment before booking any courses you wish to have recognised.
In the event of partial recognition, you should only book and begin the course that was not recognised—typically the advanced course.
For example: If you have received credit for "Business Administration I" (BWL I), you only start the course "Business Administration II" (BWL II) course.
You can switch your study model at any time during the standard period of study. You can switch by providing three months' notice, effective at the end of the month corresponding to your study start date. You can find the application for the transfer in the application management section of myCampus.
Please note that your monthly installment and total fee will be recalculated as a result of the switch, and the number of ECTS credits available to you per month will change accordingly.
You can certainly switch your degree programme! It is even free of charge during the trial month. Once the trial month ends, a transfer fee may apply, as well as costs for extracurricular coursework—this applies to successfully completed courses that are no longer relevant in your new degree programme. If you have completed courses that are also part of your new field of study, we will of course transfer them to you free of charge – please do not submit an additional recognition application for this.
The iPad is usually delivered between four weeks before the start of your studies and no later than four weeks after the start date. You will receive a shipping notification via email once it has been dispatched, so please check your inbox, including your spam folder, regularly. The specific model (colour, storage capacity, generation, etc.) depends on availability; unfortunately, we cannot provide details on this in advance.
You can find your certificate of enrollment in myCampus. Under the "Administration" navigation item, you can download it for your current semester and all past semesters using the document generator.
