Then the Bachelor's degree programme in Dietetics at IU International University of Applied Sciences is just right for you. The degree programme in dietetics trains students to become professionals with in-depth knowledge in clinical dietetics or nutrition therapy, who can later work in a wide variety of fields.
The programme is designed for registered dietitians who are interested in the interaction between nutrients/nutrition and disease and are able to create health-oriented and therapeutic solutions. What makes the degree programme at IU International University of Applied Sciences special is that it focuses on different disciplines such as paediatrics, immunology, drug-nutrient interactions and personalised nutrition. After graduating, you will be able to design and apply therapies on your own, and the modules will also provide you with tools for sound scientific research and teach you leadership and quality management-related aspects.
Accordingly, you can choose specialisations in the Bachelor in Dietetics such as the basics of leadership, leadership tools and new models of leadership. You can also choose a specialisation in dietetics with a particular focus on geriatric and kidney diseases, or the area of "Mental Health", which focuses on health-promoting factors, salutogenesis, as well as health behaviour and cognition.

Head of a nutrition team (m/f/d)
After graduating, you can, among other things, take over the management of a nutrition team in clinics and rehabilitation facilities and put what you have learned into practice.
Product developer in functional food (m/f/d)
With a Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, you are predestined to pursue a career in the field of functional food and work, for example, as a product developer. Based on your knowledge of novel foods and health claims as well as the interactions between nutrients or bioactive substances and pharmaceuticals, a career in this sector is the perfect way to put your knowledge into practice.
Participation in research teams (m/f/d)
The bachelor's degree also prepares you to work in research teams that test the effect of certain foods or extracts on humans or in research projects in which nutrition has an influence on certain components.

Our bachelor's degree programs are generally free admission programs. Precondition, in any case, is at least a university entrance qualification in the form of:
- A General qualification diploma or vocational technical diploma
- An entrance qualification for studies at universities of applied sciences
- A master craftsman's diploma
- Or advanced further training
- Or at least two years of vocational training plus at least three years of professional experience.
Also important to note: To qualify for this degree programme, you must have completed your vocational training as a registered dietitian.

Have you already completed a vocational training, have you been working professionally for several years or have you been able to successfully complete your studies? Perfect! This is because you can then have certain prior credits and academic achievements specifically recognized to shorten your study time and reduce your tuition fees.
You can find out which of your previous degrees, certificates or professional experience and skills can be credited to you on the websites of the individual course of study or directly from the student advisor for the location you are interested in.
If you have successfully completed your vocational training, the standard duration of your studies with us is reduced by 50% as the training will be automatically credited towards your degree. Of course, this also reduces your tuition fees because you will only have to pay tuition fees for 18 months instead of 36 months.
