In the Master's in Computer Science, you continue this journey with a focus on Data Science, Cyber Security and Artificial Intelligence. Your Master's programme with 120 ECTS comprises four semesters: In the first semester, you enter directly into Software Engineering and deepen your knowledge of foundation Mathematics and Statistics. To this end, you will already acquire skills in the field of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence in the first year of your studies. In the second semester, you will also systematically deal with the design, evaluation and application of algorithms. In the second semester, you will also learn about Cyber Security and Data Protection. In the third semester, your will focus is on two elective modules. In addition, you will deal with the influence of your work as a Computer Scientist on society, discuss current topics in Computer Science and analyse networked systems.

At the end of your studies, the Master's thesis with colloquium (30 ECTS) offers you the opportunity to independently apply your acquired knowledge to a concrete problem using scientific methods and to present and defend the result.

Depending on your personal or professional situation, full-time study is not always easy to manage. That is why we have also developed part-time programmes for all our degrees, which offer flexible and longer study periods. This way, you can study alongside your job or during your time off, whether at home or abroad. The content of the different models is identical. Depending on the study model, we will adjust your tuition fees accordingly. With the part-time variants, your weekly study workload is reduced.

Can't finish your degree in the allotted time? No problem! We will develop the right study model for everyone. If you realise that you need more time, you can easily switch to another study model with three months’ notice before the end of the month. These are our different study models:
