New working models, more diverse tasks, agile working in remote teams: in the new world of work, excellent project management is crucial for business success. Project management is of increasing relevance in all areas of the economy and public life and offers attractive career perspectives. After graduating, you can work as a …

Working on projects is becoming more common in today’s economy. Especially big or complex projects require a systematic approach. As a project manager, you can carry a lot of responsibility (e.g. the construction of an airport). Although there are projects that are exclusively of economic or technical nature, most projects will require knowledge of both areas as well as the ability to weigh the various aspects.
Scrum is an agile project management method and is used not only in software development, but also in many areas of economics. Scrum Masters enable the members of their SCRUM team to employ the SCRUM rules in order to complete a project more efficiently. It is their responsibility that everybody involved understands SCRUM theory, practices, rules and values. They act as facilitators and coaches and offer support during the scrum process.
Technical project managers plan, organise and control IT-projects. They coordinate all employees, departments and external service providers involved, never losing sight of schedule and budget. In addition to the correct implementation of projects, they are responsible for the achievement of targets.

We make it possible: At IU International University of Applied Sciences you can start your desired study programme - without NC, state-recognised, with or without a general A-level!
Completed undergraduate degree with a focus on economics or engineering with at least 180 ECTS
Your degree must be from a state or state-approved higher education institution/university
You must have achieved a final grade of at least “satisfactory” or Grade C equivalent to the German grade “befriedigend” in your previous undergraduate degree
Alternatives to the minimum grade (120 ECTS credits)
If you have completed your bachelor's degree with a grade of "sufficient" or grade D equivalent to the German grade “ausreichend” (up to 4.0), you can still be admitted to a master's or MBA program. For this, you need:
A bachelor's degree (grade 3.5 - 4.0) from a state or state-approved higher education institution/university
and
Relevant study achievements from a master's/MBA programme at a state or state-approved higher education institution/university relevant to the desired master's/MBA programme, with a minimum of 40 ECTS credits
or
A relevant completed master's/MBA degree from a state or state-approved higher education institution/university
or
Relevant qualifications outside of academia which can be credited to you such as further education/training at GQF7 level or – for foreign qualifications such as postgraduate diplomas – equivalent to GQF7 level relevant to the desired master's/MBA programme, with a minimum of 40 ECTS credits
Tip: If you apply for recognition, we can review your relevant achievements and, where possible, credit them towards your study programme in a relevant field.
Exception: To be admitted to the master's programme in Architecture (120 ECTS credits), you must have completed your undergraduate degree with a final grade of at least "good” or grade B equivalent to the German grade "good" (up to 2.5).
Is your undergraduate degree not in the required subject field for the 120 ECTS programme's admission requirements? You can still apply! You'll have to take 2 specific courses from your study programme and successfully complete them before you can start your studies.
Recognition of knowledge and abilities acquired outside of higher education is possible in principle.
The alternative admission requirements represent individual exceptions to the aforementioned General Admission Requirements and ensure that you are qualified to access a master's degree programme. Admission is granted at the discretion of the institution.
