UPSKILLING BACHELOR PROGRAMME DB UNIVERSITY RECEIVES AN AWARD

DB UNIVERSITY - STRONG STUDENTS FOR A STRONG RAILWAY SYSTEM

Erfurt, 20 August 2021 – DB University, IU International University of Applied Sciences‘ upskilling programme, has been awarded the Brandon Hall Group HCM Excellence Silver Award. The advanced training programme, developed by IU and Deutsche Bahn, was launched in spring 2021. 

Deutsche Bahn employees who have completed vocational training are offered the opportunity to complete a bachelor's degree with the academic training programme, even without a high school diploma. Thanks to the flexible online offer of IU International University of Applied Sciences, Deutsche Bahn gives its employees access to attractive further education courses while working. The aim is to promote digital skills and offer employees professional orientation and prospects within the DB Group. Special focus is placed on IT & Technology, Business & Management, Construction & Architecture and Marketing & Sales.

The award is presented by the Brandon Hall Group, a US market research company, in several categories from the fields of human resources and technology. The training programme "DB University - Strong Students for a Strong Railway System" was honoured in the category Best Strategy for a Corporate Learning University.
