NEW FORMAT FOR TEACHERS: LEARNING HOW TO TEACH ONLINE

IUBH OFFERS FREE INFO SESSION FOR TEACHERS ON ONLINE TEACHING

Erfurt, 16 March 2020 - All schools nationwide are closed due to the Corona pandemic - and suddenly schools are faced with the enormous challenge of converting to online teaching at very short notice and for all grades and school types. How do I, as a teacher, prepare teaching material for the web in a didactically sensible way? How can I use video conferencing to get students excited about topics? What online tools are available to me?

As Germany's largest private university for online studies with more than 30,000 students, the IUBH International University of Applied Sciences takes its social responsibility seriously and is now sharing its expertise on online teaching: Starting at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, it will train teachers via a live online course on how web-based teaching and learning works. Prof. Dr. Holger Sommerfeldt, academic director of the IUBH distance learning programme, will be available live on Tuesday at 11 am and 2 pm.
